You will undertake comprehensive training in dance, acting and singing and will gain extensive stage experience, participating in workshops led by leading choreographers. Sessions are performance based and designed to develop your skills on stage, working on choreography, scripts and lyrics. Classes throughout the academic year will build these skills and help you to understand the repertoire you suit for auditions. As part of our work-ready guarantee, students have enjoyed professional workshops led by leading choreographers such as Lee Proud (Billy Elliot), Mark Stuart Hedges (LSMT), Cynthia Erivo and Oliver Tompsett, (Les Miserables and Ghost the Musical) and more. Students have had the opportunity to travel to New York and experience workshops, performances and take part in showcases. Students also perform in the annual Move IT exhibition in London. 100% of recent musical theatre graduates are in work or further study within 6 months of completing the course. Many are working within the industry, performing starring roles in shows like Jersey Boys, Matilda and Avenue Q. Others have enhanced their skills by progressing onto our one-year BA (Hons) Creative Enterprise (Top-Up) degree.
