While some universities keep their medical students away from the frontline until later in the course, Sheffield gives you clinical experience from a very early stage. Our methods include teaching on wards and in clinics as well as small group work and full body dissection. We also place a lot of emphasis on developing your communication skills: knowing how to speak to patients, and how to listen, is just as important as clinical expertise.
