Cardiac Physiology at Leeds has always ranked highly in league tables and achieved 95% satisfaction in the NSS (2015). Most of our students secure a job in a professional role before graduation. This degree focuses primarily on diagnosis and assessment of heart disease using academic and workplace learning with an extended academic year, although students do not work over the summer. Our Cardiac Physiology programme runs over three years of full time of study, which combines both theory and practice during a total of 50 weeks on placement. Placements are an integral part of your learning and we have an established circuit of high quality NHS and private hospital environments in which you will receive clinical training from experienced Cardiac professionals. Clinical practice is a fundamental and critical component of the programme and you will gain lots of work experience in clinical departments with our partner regional NHS Trust Hospitals.
