Genetics and genetic technologies have had a major impact on the understanding of human biology and disease, and have many other practical applications across the spectrum of the biological sciences. This degree enables you to gain an understanding of major advances in the whole field of genetics, including microbial and evolutionary genetics. Our teaching is delivered by academic staff that are actively involved in world-class research and is shaped by the latest discoveries. Furthermore, you will enjoy learning in contemporary lecture theatres and laboratories in both the Life Sciences Building and the nearby Medical School.
