At Nottingham, you will combine French studies, including French language which may be taken at post-A level or beginners’ level, with the study of world and European history. The French language element of the course can be taken at beginners’ level or is suitable for those with an A level or equivalent qualification. In both subjects the choice of modules can be tailored to your particular areas of interest, as you will enjoy a wide range of options in both French studies and history. The History modules are particularly diverse in scope, with particular strengths in historical aspects of Britain and continental Europe, Japan, North America, the Middle East, and North Africa.
