This course was designed in consultation with the construction industry to meet the expanding need for professional, technical and managerial personnel. The course covers key aspects of the industry including theoretical and practical applications within the sector. Through studying this course you will develop the ability to apply your skills, knowledge and critical thinking within a professional capacity. As part of our work-ready guarantee you will be given the opportunity to work towards EngTech or IEng professional status with the Engineering Council, through a regulatory body. You will also be given the opportunity to visit various engineering companies and get the chance to do series of industrial training courses, to gain vital first-hand experience of how engineering theory is put into practice. With your Foundation Degree you will have career opportunities in areas such as construction management, project management, site management or offsite manufacturing. Academic progression is available through a relevant (Top-Up) degree.
