There is a growing demand for Care practitioners with higher level qualifications such as this Foundation Degree. This course gives you underpinning knowledge of health and care services and practice at level 4 and 5. Teaching and learning will be varied with lectures, facilitated learning and seminar workshops. You will be actively involved in your learning and will be constantly developing your higher education skills. You will be researching and disseminating recent research and using evidence based practice. Year 1: Equality Diversity and Rights; Social Care and Health Organisations; Using Research in Health and Social Care Practice; Applied Social and Psychological Studies; Introduction to Health Promotion; Substance Misuse. Year 2: Integrating Research in Health and Social Care; The Employment Experience Certificate; Working with Children and Young People; Current Issues in Disability.
